Vintage Metallica "Ride The Lightning" Tour T-Shirt Posters Face The NationMetallica released Ride The Lightning in 1984. It was their second full length and came quickly behind their debut which was only released a year prior. While Metallica was well known in the thrash metal world and signed to a substantial independent metal label (Megaforce), they were still grinding it out. After feeling unsatisfied with Megaforce's performance, Metallica ended up signing with Elektra, a major label, who quickly re released the album.
